Wild Rose
Blossoming from humble beginnings, this beautiful work developed from a sketch of a wild roses. A rambling rose bush growing on the Tuscan hillside on the outer walls of Cortona, Italy. From amongst the petals a beautiful face emerged to be painted. She ebbs and flows with the cycles of the moon. Her essence is that of harmony and peace.
As the Wild Rose came into full bloom on the canvas, she developed to symbolise hope in the seeds of new beginnings. When these seeds are free to grow uninhibited and in flow with the cycles of life, she finds harmony within her beingness.
